Application Requirements:
From all countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Japan:
- PhD holders: The doctorate must have been awarded more than 6 years prior to April 1 of the fiscal year in which the fellowship begins.
- Non-PhD researchers: Must hold an academic position.
Duration of fellowships:
2 to 10 months
Application Procedure:
The host submits the application through their institution to the JSPS headquarters in Tokyo. Application deadline in September.
